We are here to help you become a more confident, more capable, and more nature-literate practitioner.

01

Push beyond the current boundaries in clinical practice.

Encourage broader thinking, stronger pattern recognition, and a more nuanced understanding of complex cases.

02

Use a nature-aligned framework you can apply in practice

Bring principles of rhythm, environment, quantum biology, and individual context into everyday clinical decision-making.

03

Think critically about each person in front of you

Develop the confidence to assess each case on its own terms so outcomes are more thoughtful, personalised, and sustainable.

What is the Human Rewilding Project?

It began with a shared observation among experienced practitioners that since the pandemic, many conventional healing approaches have become less effective. This shift appears to reflect a deeper issue of a loss of resilience and a growing disconnection from the natural rhythms that once supported human health.

Today’s environment is very different from the one we evolved in. Factors such as ultra-processed foods, indoor living, chemical exposure, social isolation, and electromagnetic pollution are contributing to reduced microbial diversity and declining overall health. At the same time, immune dysfunction continues to rise. The “hygiene hypothesis,” first proposed in the 1950s to explain increasing rates of allergy and autoimmunity, highlighted the importance of microbial exposure, yet decades later, immune resilience is still worsening rather than improving.

The Human Rewilding Project exists to bridge this gap. It supports practitioners who recognise these patterns but lack practical tools to address them. By offering grounded, actionable strategies, focused on reconnecting with natural environments, rebuilding authentic community, and restoring innate biological rhythms, the project equips practitioners with a clinical framework to help clients build lasting resilience.

Alongside this, the project is committed to deeper research into some of the most pressing health challenges of our time, including antimicrobial resistance, microbiome depletion, and the physiological impact of artificial environments. The goal is to develop evidence-informed approaches that help restore what modern living has disrupted. At its core, The Human Rewilding Project is an invitation to return to the principles that shaped human biology, and to apply them in a way that supports health in today’s world.

Why we focus on the "Hygiene Hypothesis"?

For over four decades since the hygiene hypothesis emerged in 1989, research has highlighted how diminished microbial exposure fuels the rise of allergies and autoimmune diseases, yet we’re still no further forward in truly understanding how to rebuild lost immune resilience.

Chronic illnesses rates continue to climb, and the human race is under the threat of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) from overuse of antibiotics and sanitisers, which strip away beneficial microbes, and destroy microbiome diversity, this is exacerbated by many other factors including urban lifestyles, processed diets and indoor living.  The Human Rewilding Protect is passionate about reversing this trend by reconnecting people with nature’s healing power.

Our research explores how natural environments can restore microbial balance and bolster health, with remarkable outcomes already transforming our clients’ healing journeys. Our broader goals are to collaborate with researchers and innovators to deepen these discoveries.
